Humane Society of Sheboygan County

Since 1973, the Manitowoc County region has been served by the Lakeshore Humane Society, Inc. (LHS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit open admission animal shelter. The LHS's goals are to provide all animals entrusted to its care with humane and compassionate treatment, reconnect lost animals with their owners, find responsible, long-term homes for adoptable animals, and promote humane awareness among the general public. We mostly rely on private donations and grants to maintain our programs and activities in the community, despite the fact that we occasionally receive support from stray contracts from the municipality.

Our goal is to protect the wellbeing of every German Shepherd dog during every stage of life. We save, heal, and rehome the unwanted and abandoned. Our commitment is to provide every GSD with the love and life they each deserve, along with the help of our volunteers and kind donations.

WHS cares for 40,000 animals per year. We are not a part of any national umbrella group and do not get general government financing. WHS provides the following specialized services as the biggest shelter in the state of Wisconsin:

Puppyland Humane Society Inc. is a non-profit organization that only relies on volunteers to carry out its mission of helping homeless animals find loving, caring homes. All creatures, in our opinion, merit another chance at life.

A dog rescue that focuses on tiny breed canines is called Lucky Dog Rescue. You save lives by adopting a dog from Lucky Dog! In addition to giving a homeless animal a forever home, your adoption fee will assist us in covering medical expenses so that we can continue saving dogs from high-kill shelters. Adopting a dog frees up space at local shelters, allowing for more foster dogs and new arrivals. Everyone benefits! particularly the DOGS!
