Santa Monica Animal Shelter Foundation

The Animal Services Unit in Santa Monica provides a range of services with the goal of advancing and defending the health, welfare, and security of both people and animals.

Our ideal society includes compassion for animals, which are fellow sentient beings. We provide the most vulnerable animals a second shot at life, love, and respect via our innovative rescue, spay/neuter, and educational programs. Foster or adopt a dog right away.

Los Angeles-based Love Leo is a nonprofit, foster-based rescue organization. Many of the dogs that we rescue are ill, hurt, neglected, or abandoned. We have a soft place for canines that require specialized medical attention in order to leave the shelter. We are aware that the majority of potential adopters won't be able to take home a dog from the shelter that requires an expensive orthopedic procedure or a puppy that has parvo. These dogs, in our opinion, merit another chance.

Our board of directors is made up entirely of volunteers. Our goal is to support the Santa Monica Animal Shelter financially.

We must exert every effort to keep families and pets together, healthy, and neutered, according to Karma.

We are a little dog rescue group with a focus on Maltese, Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, and other tiny, hairy dogs under 20 pounds.
