Local, state, and federal laws pertaining to animals are enforced by Animal Services.

Our goal is to actively help the neighborhood reduce the number of cats. Our aggressive TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) campaign and adoption program to assist tame cats find homes enable us to fulfill our purpose.

The Police Department's Animal Control division responds to problems with domestic animals, wildlife, and livestock that occur throughout the city. Their responsibilities include spreading rabies awareness, looking into animal bites, finding missing pets, dealing with stray animals, adopting animals, and providing shelter and care.

We are fortunate to have access to the adoption facility at the PetSmart in Garland, Texas, located at Highway 190 and North. Garland Street Since July 2004, our volunteers have been taking care of and placing cats for adoption at PetSmart.
