Roswell Animal Control

We'll provide lost and unwanted animals with refuge and care. Animals will be housed in humane settings. We will put policies in place and offer services to encourage responsible pet ownership.

Friends of Roswell Animals (FORA) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization run entirely by volunteers that is committed to preserving and enhancing the lives of dogs and cats in Roswell, New Mexico. A group of volunteers in Roswell, New Mexico, who cared about the wellbeing of the city's companion animals founded FORA in 2015. In April 2017, the IRS gave us tax-exempt status as a 501(c)3 public charity.

North of the Public Safety Complex, at 501 Paddy Wagon RD, is the brand-new Artesia Animal Shelter.

Since its founding in 1987, the Humane Society of Lincoln County has fought to save and care for the stray animals in our neighborhood. We relocated to a new shelter facility in 2020 that guarantees a healthy environment for arriving dogs.

The committed staff and board members of THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF LINCOLN COUNTY, NEW MEXICO devote a lot of their time to serving the animals they work so hard to save, protect, and place in Furr-ever homes.

A no-kill animal welfare group called AnimalVILLAGENM is situated in southern New Mexico's Otero County. Selected cats and dogs that have been saved from imminent danger are given a safe second chance. We have placed over 1,000 animals in secure and devoted forever homes thanks to our extensive adoption process.
