Animal Village NM

Since its founding in 1987, the Humane Society of Lincoln County has fought to save and care for the stray animals in our neighborhood. We relocated to a new shelter facility in 2020 that guarantees a healthy environment for arriving dogs.

The committed staff and board members of THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF LINCOLN COUNTY, NEW MEXICO devote a lot of their time to serving the animals they work so hard to save, protect, and place in Furr-ever homes.

Five people with a shared love of cats formed Kitty City NM in Alamagordo, New Mexico, in May 2019. We wanted to assist cats that, through no fault of their own, had become lost, abandoned, neglected, or abused and were without a family and a loving home.

The Alamogordo Animal Shelter's goals are to offer Alamogordo residents high-quality animal management, as well as to raise public understanding of animal laws, bylaws, and pet population control.

A municipal animal control institution, the Otero County Animal Shelter is non-profit. Even though there are instances where euthanasia is necessary, we work to care for and place all adoptable animals that come through our facilities.
