The Humane Society of Marathon County, Inc.'s aim is to motivate and involve the local population in efforts to put an end to animal suffering and promote responsible pet ownership.

The goal of FETCH Foster and Rescue is to "advocate for shelter dogs through education, rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, and adoption in an effort to decrease the number of unnecessary pregnancies and those annually authorized."

The mission of the shelter is to "be a No-Kill shelter and place of safety for all animals, to provide our community with good, healthy, adoptable animals, and to strive to maintain maximum animal control through education, training, and a spay and neuter policy. No-kill shall be defined as a non-euthanization of all animals that are deemed healthy, treatable medically, and behavioral trainable. Our goal has been to prevent cruelty, abuse, neglect, and overpopulation of companion animals since 1969. We also work to find these animals adoptive homes, spread humane awareness and respect for all life, and improve communities via these efforts.

South Wood County Humane Society is a private, non-profit animal welfare organization that serves Wisconsin Rapids, WI. We offer warm, secure sanctuary to stray and unwanted dogs, cats, and small animals.

We work hard to maintain a No-Kill facility, a shelter for the mistreated, abandoned, or abused animals of Lincoln County and neighboring counties, a safe haven for healthy adoptable animals, a temporary home for the homeless.
