The goal of FETCH Foster and Rescue is to "advocate for shelter dogs through education, rescue, foster care, rehabilitation, and adoption in an effort to decrease the number of unnecessary pregnancies and those annually authorized."

The mission of the shelter is to "be a No-Kill shelter and place of safety for all animals, to provide our community with good, healthy, adoptable animals, and to strive to maintain maximum animal control through education, training, and a spay and neuter policy. No-kill shall be defined as a non-euthanization of all animals that are deemed healthy, treatable medically, and behavioral trainable. We adopt dogs out through a thorough process that includes carefully matching them with adopters, educating potential adopters, and providing ongoing support. Dogs are then placed in loving, responsible, devoted permanent homes.

We work hard to maintain a No-Kill facility, a shelter for the mistreated, abandoned, or abused animals of Lincoln County and neighboring counties, a safe haven for healthy adoptable animals, a temporary home for the homeless.

Before placing stray and surrendered cats and dogs in secure, loving families, we offer them a cozy, temporary home.

When concerned residents realized Marshfield needed an animal sanctuary, MAPS was established in 2011. They put in a lot of effort to spread the word about their cause. To garner support, they participated in parades, sat at fair booths, served brat fries, and went to every local event they could.
