For those animals at the shelter in need, such as those that are hurt, unwell, having trouble adjusting to life in the shelter, or whose time has come to an end, we offer rescue, veterinary care, foster homes, and refuge.

The North Platte Police Department's Animal Shelter collaborates with PAWS-itive Partners Humane Society, an independent non-profit with no public financing, to promote spaying and neutering and encourage the adoption of unwanted pets.

Animals are not killed at KAAS. The duration of the animals in our care is unrestricted. The animal stays with us for however long it takes to find a new home, as long as it is physically and psychologically well. When necessary, we work in collaboration with other animal welfare organizations and specialized rescues to assist in placing animals in adoring homes.

Adopt-A-Dog is an institution that rescues cats and dogs and places them all in devoted, lifelong homes.

We are a "No-Kill" animal rescue group made up of like-minded individuals, and our goal is to rescue, shelter, treat medically, sterilize, and rehabilitate surrendered, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals.

The idea for Voice for Companion Animals was just a seed. The idea was first conceived in 2014 by Grand Island resident Robyn Mays, who has a remarkable affinity with animals.
