The idea for Voice for Companion Animals was just a seed. The idea was first conceived in 2014 by Grand Island resident Robyn Mays, who has a remarkable affinity with animals.

Kearney Area Animal Shelter

Animals are not killed at KAAS. The duration of the animals in our care is unrestricted. The animal stays with us for however long it takes to find a new home, as long as it is physically and psychologically well. When necessary, we work in collaboration with other animal welfare organizations and specialized rescues to assist in placing animals in adoring homes.
