Animal Protection Society - Friday Harbor

In 1982, the Animal Protection Society of Friday Harbor was established. It is a nonprofit, private organization dedicated to animal welfare. We are pleased to offer a range of services to the residents and animals of San Juan Island, including adoptions, low-income spay/neuter vouchers, and humane education for young people of all ages. We work to make animal companionship and protection accessible through our outreach, advocacy, and services. Except for a little percentage of the county dog license fees, the APS-FH is a private organization that receives no funding from local, state, or federal sources. Our mission is to create a compassionate community via the adoption of stray animals, humane education, the investigation of abuse, and community outreach and leadership.
