As a no-kill facility, Walker County residents are the ONLY ones who can use our services. Only by appointment and for a $10 per animal fee are surrenders accepted. Adoption fees for dogs are $100 and for cats are $50. There is no reimbursement of any costs.

In order to check for rabies and report obnoxious wildlife, Cullman County Animal Control collaborates with The State of Alabama Wildlife. Animal Control in Cullman County does not set or lend out wildlife traps.

Our goal is to save injured, stray, and abandoned kittens and cats. We provide the kitties a thorough vetting in a secure and caring setting. Adopting one of our kitties into a loving home is possible.

The Animal Adoption Center of Blount County is here to help the county with its needs for reducing the number of stray, unwanted, and abandoned animals. Our mission is to pair animals with loving homes, primarily but not exclusively dogs and cats. To stop overpopulation, we advocate for the spaying and neutering of companion animals. We also work to inform county residents about how to properly care for their pets. Any Blount County person who has an animal is welcome to bring it to the shelter.

The Humane Society of West Alabama is a nonprofit, no-kill organization that was established in 1971. Since we have no overhead expenses, the majority of the money we raise goes directly toward helping the dogs and cats in our care. We receive no funding from any national humanitarian group or governmental body. To keep doing our job, we rely on donations and fundraisers.

East Alabama Humane Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to rescuing and caring for abandoned, neglected, and homeless animals. Our goal is to provide these animals with shelter, medical attention, and loving homes through our adoption services. We also focus on educating the community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of animal welfare. With the support of compassionate volunteers and donors, we strive to create a safe and loving environment for all animals.
