Saving the Animals Together

The services for rabies control include coordinating rabies vaccination clinics for animals across Madison County and enforcing Tennessee anti-rabies legislation pertaining to small animal management.

We are a municipal shelter with managed intake that collaborates with Animal Control to make Jackson a great environment for both people and their pets. We do not put animals to death because "their time is done" or due to lack of space, but we rely largely on the support of the local community and our rescue partners to make this mission attainable.

Friends of the Gibson County Animal Shelter is the owner and operator of this website. Not owned, supervised, or maintained by any administrative offices in Gibson County, Tennessee.

Lexington, Tennessee is home to the Frances Halbrook Hensley Animal Shelter, a 501(c)3 organization. The late Frances H. Hensley, an enthusiastic animal lover, had the vision and left behind the Shelter, which was established in 2016.
