Katrin Hecker, a registered nurse who was resolved to put an end to the tragedy of stray cats and kittens that were overrunning the streets and alleys of Hudson, created AnimalKind, a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) animal welfare organization, in 2000.

Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue and Advocacy is a nonprofit organization with the mission of saving not only the lives of animals but also bringing attention to the massive overpopulation of unwanted animals not just in New York but worldwide.

At Pooches Out of Puerto Rico, our purpose is to save dogs who have been taken off the streets, abandoned, handed in, or otherwise placed in a high-risk shelter.

Our goal is to continue offering older dogs who have been neglected, abandoned, or are homeless a safe sanctuary.

We strive to never turn away a pet in need. Through owner surrenders, shelters, and puppy mills, we save local stray animals. Regardless of our age or health, we do this. We collaborate with some fantastic foster homes and volunteers.
