Michigan Humane - Livingston County

The purpose of the Livingston County Animal Control and Shelter is to provide care, management, and resolution for issues involving domestic animals in the county.

Animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment are the focus of Last Chance Rescue, a nonprofit organization.

Animals of various kinds are housed on our 56 acres in Holly, Michigan, where they were rescued from appalling conditions of abuse, neglect, and hoarding. For them to rest, heal, and rebuild their trust, we offer a Sanctuary.

One of the rescues that aid homeless cats and kittens from a range of circumstances is South Mitten's Kittens. We save those we can and grieve those we can't, whether they are born outside, abandoned by their parents, given up by their owners, or lost.

An all-volunteer group called For the Love of Cats is committed to saving the lives and locating homes for homeless cats and kittens, both stray animals and those given up by their owners.
