A foster-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to helping homeless animals find loving, permanent homes.

We are a volunteer-run page with the goal of informing people about available pets and raising money or supplies as necessary. Our objective is to support the Bloomfield Township Animal Shelter in finding homes for each animal and ensuring that they can offer the best care possible for the animals they take in.

The Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center's mission is to protect public safety by upholding applicable state laws, to inform the public about responsible pet ownership, to provide a safe haven for animals in our care, to try to reunite pets with their owners whenever possible, and to encourage responsible pet placement.

One of the rescues that aid homeless cats and kittens from a range of circumstances is South Mitten's Kittens. We save those we can and grieve those we can't, whether they are born outside, abandoned by their parents, given up by their owners, or lost.

An group called Midwest Schipperke Rescue offers dog rescue services and information to Schipperke owners and shelters. With the intention of rehoming the Schipperkes when possible, we take in homeless Schipperkes and offer retraining and medical assistance as necessary. The dogs' overall welfare is taken into consideration when designing our Schipperke rescue services in the Upper Midwest.

The Un-Shelter is committed to building caring connections with its staff, volunteers, prospective adopters, community residents in need of assistance for their dogs, other shelters and rescues, and educational and business partners.
