The Dalton Humane Society, Inc., forerunner to the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia, was established in 1977. The organization was renamed the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia, Inc. in 1988. The land for our prior building was leased from Dr. Charles Wade's family in 2006.
