NorCal Collie Rescue is a nonprofit organization* that was established by collie enthusiasts with the goal of protecting collies in need in northern California. Collies are rescued for a variety of reasons, such as from breeders, animal shelters, the passing of the primary caregiver, persons whose health has altered, and many other situations.

The current life-saving mission of Wonder Dog is the culmination of 30 years of rescue work. In 1990, our founder started a Boston Terrier rescue in San Francisco, which was his first foray into dog rescue.

A no-kill organization, High Sierra Animal Rescue began operations in May 1999. We have 17 rescue kennels, 21 boarding kennels, and have found loving, long-term homes for almost 4,500 animals.
