In addition to ensuring that animals are treated humanely, Duplin County Animal Services (DCAS) works to encourage responsible pet ownership, safeguard the health and safety of its citizens, and offer temporary sanctuary for unwanted and stray animals.

Our goal is to reduce the euthanasia rate by collaborating with donations, volunteers, county shelters, local businesses, and people.

By enforcing state laws and local ordinances, Onslow County Animal Services works to safeguard the health and safety of county citizens, assure the humane treatment of animals, offer temporary sanctuary to stray and surrendered animals, and encourage responsible pet ownership. Jacksonville, North Carolina's facility is situated at 244 Georgetown Road.

Adult cats that were previously abandoned have a place to roam and play at CAPS. They can find beautiful forever homes and leave the shelter if given the chance for their true feline selves to show.

The Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society has rescued, compassionately cared for, and located permanent homes for thousands of neglected and abandoned animals for more than 25 years.

We are not associated with the ASPCA and do not get funds from them. The Lenoir County SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization in Kinston, North Carolina.
