 As much as we can, we want to aid animals! Many people who experience unwantedness, unlove, forgetfulness, abuse, and neglect will understand what love is. We take dogs and puppies out of the local shelter.

The goal of Wayne County Animal Services is to strike a balance between the needs of people and animals in our county in terms of health, safety, and welfare. Through our mission, we hope to: raise awareness of responsible pet ownership among the general public; aggressively look into allegations of animal cruelty; reunite lost pets with their owners; show compassion and humane treatment for unwanted, stray, abused, and abandoned pets in our County; and provide adoptable pets with a second chance at finding a forever home.

We accept the most difficult rescue situations at Cause N Dog Rescue and Adoptions in Snow Hill, North Carolina. Most of the dogs that we receive have mange, fractured bones, wounds, abrasions, are pregnant, and are homeless.

In addition to ensuring that animals are treated humanely, Duplin County Animal Services (DCAS) works to encourage responsible pet ownership, safeguard the health and safety of its citizens, and offer temporary sanctuary for unwanted and stray animals.

We are not associated with the ASPCA and do not get funds from them. The Lenoir County SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization in Kinston, North Carolina.
