After graduating from Michigan State University in 1997, our doctors, Julie Saarm-Greimel and Matthew Greimel, worked as small animal veterinarians and surgeons in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Aspiring to open a companion animal clinic in northern Michigan, they moved there and provided temporary veterinary services there while their hospital was being planned and built. Bayshore Animal Hospital opened in April 2000.

We are a mixed animal hospital that treats dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals. Sault Animal Hospital also offers services like ovulation timing and artificial insemination (AI) for local breeders. Sault Animal Hospital also offers services for local farms, from routine herd checks to individual animal care. We all provide advanced care for the pets of the Eastern UP, Canada, and Michigan.
