No matter their origin, all fish and retail animals are ethically procured, and all animals—including those that have been rescued—are treated equally when it comes to care, husbandry, exposure, and public accessibility. Next to $200 speciality breeds are $10 rescued animals. While we don't think all animals should be kept in captivity, we do think all pet animals who are should deserve the same level of care and the chance to find their permanent homes.
