Owner Connie Dubay founded Cold Spot Feeds Inc. in 1986 after a late-night talk about the need for a cheap dog food for the area's long-distance dog mushers. Connie approached National Pet Foods with the intention of developing a specialty high-protein/fat dog chow for use in yearly World-Class racing events like as the Iditarod and Yukon Quest. The first truckload of dog food arrived in Fairbanks, Alaska, after a deal was arranged.
We specialize in providing all of the mushing community's equipment needs. We can manufacture a wide range of special-order equipment, including sleds, runners, harnesses, mainlines, tuglines, coats, and booties. Cold Spot for Healthy Pets Inc. has earned the moniker "Cold Spot for Healthy Pets."
