The park is known for being one of the best places on the planet to see redwoods from a car, but if you and Petzooie want to get some exercise, you can take them into the developed areas, park roads, and campgrounds, but not on the trails. Between April and October, the park is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from November to March, it is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
