East of West Seattle, Puget Park is part of the West Duwamish Greenbelt. The Greenbelt protects the forest on West Seattle's eastern hills. The Puget Mill Company donated the park land to the city in 1912. Puget Park was established by the Seattle Parks Board.

Carkeek Park is a 216-acre park in Seattle, Washington's Broadview neighborhood. Piper Orchard, Pipers Creek, play and picnic spaces, picnic shelters, and hiking routes are all part of the park. A pedestrian bridge connects the Carkeek Park sand beach on Puget Sound to the main lines of the BNSF Railway.
