Golden Gardens Off Leash Area

This famous park in Ballard on Puget Sound offers spectacular views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Two wetlands, a small circle route, and a repaired northern beach are all part of this park. Walking along a mountainous coastline, hiking through woodland trails, sunbathing on sandy beaches, fishing from a pier, and a boat launch with 300 feet of shoreline are all available at Golden Gardens. In the higher northern section of the park, there is also an off-leash area for dogs. The park features a wide, mostly flat play area, a winding route with various open sections and scenic changes along the way, and lots of space for dog owners and their dogs of all ages to "work out." The trail is mostly made up of compact gravel and is wheelchair accessible. Within the main dog park, this off-leash section has a small and shy dog area.
