La Tuna Canyon Park

A 0.5-acre small dog area and a 1-acre large dog area with separate double-gated entries are available at the Crescenta Valley Dog Park. Each area is totally gated, with huge amounts of decomposed granite surfacing and cedar chip surfacing beneath and around the older trees. A dog wash is located outside the entrance gates, as well as drinking fountains for both humans and pets, benches in both areas, some with shade structures, and security lighting.

Special interest classes, kid and adult sports programs, day camps, after-school programs, youth resource programs, environmental and educational nature programs, commercial recreation services, and year-round special events are all available through the Recreation Services Division.

The Chandler Bikeway is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to building a statewide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Burbank! The trailhead for the Chandler Bikeway is shown on the map below.

Verdugo Park has playgrounds, sandboxes, picnic tables, benches, and hiking trails, and pets are welcome on leash.

The Travel Town Railroad, which is located in Griffith Park, is dog-friendly! Leashed dogs are invited to accompany their owners as they investigate locomotives, freight cars and cabooses, passenger cars, interurbans, and automobiles. During their vacation to Travel Town, dog owners must clean up after their pets. Admission is by donation, and parking is available on the premises during operating hours.
