A 0.5-acre small dog area and a 1-acre large dog area with separate double-gated entries are available at the Crescenta Valley Dog Park. Each area is totally gated, with huge amounts of decomposed granite surfacing and cedar chip surfacing beneath and around the older trees. A dog wash is located outside the entrance gates, as well as drinking fountains for both humans and pets, benches in both areas, some with shade structures, and security lighting.

Travel Town Railroad

The Travel Town Railroad, which is located in Griffith Park, is dog-friendly! Leashed dogs are invited to accompany their owners as they investigate locomotives, freight cars and cabooses, passenger cars, interurbans, and automobiles. During their vacation to Travel Town, dog owners must clean up after their pets. Admission is by donation, and parking is available on the premises during operating hours.

Old Zoo Picnic Area at Griffith Park

Bring Petzooie to this unique Griffith Park attraction for a picnic or some games in the nearby grassy area. Before the zoo moved to its current location, the Old Zoo Picnic Area was home to the former LA Zoo. Parking at the Mineral Wells picnic area and going up the fire road for about 1/2 mile will lead you to Amir's Garden. At the midway mark, you'll pass Water Tank 73, and Amir's Garden lies on the next significant switchback. While on the paths, please keep Petzooie on a leash.
