At state parks and campgrounds, pets must be leashed and accompanied by their owners at all times; unleashed dogs are permitted in the wilderness but must be under voice direction. If you have a pet, please clean up after it. Within 100 feet of a cabin, sled dogs and horses should not be tied. Johnson Lake is surrounded by a beautiful, wooded 332-acre area. Camping, rainbow trout fishing, canoeing, and strolling are all popular pastimes. There are 48 campsites, 16 parking spots for day use, and a group picnic area.
