With over 7,000 plants representing over 200 different species on display, the garden is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. With your dog on a leash, follow the paths designated with instructional signs. As a reward for good conduct, take Petzooie to the Chaparral Park dog park, which is right next to the garden.

This fantastic dog park features distinct sections for both quiet and active dogs of all sizes. There are 3 acres of grass, water fountains, play elements, and seating in this 4-acre dog park. Owners of dogs are free to bring chairs as well, as long as they return them when they leave.

In Scottsdale, Arizona, spend some time shopping and dining at the Pavilion at Talking Stick. This is a shopping area with a mix of chain stores and eateries, as well as a few local businesses like Scottsdale Doggie Suites, a boarding facility. Before eating at one of the restaurants with pet-friendly seating, stop by Petco for a new toy and maybe a treat for Fido. Stop by on Saturday nights to watch the weekly vehicle show and talk with local auto enthusiasts. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Dogs weighing less than twelve pounds are allowed at Scottsdale Fashion Square if they are held or pushed in a stroller. Of course, service dogs are welcome to accompany you on your stroll. This is a more upscale shopping center with 240 stores (and counting), an indoor playground, food court, and movie theater. Bring your walking shoes because you'll be walking a lot. Individual companies (especially movie theaters and restaurants) reserve the right to refuse entry to dogs. The Fashion Square is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Individual business hours are subject to change.

Wine lovers may spend a day with Petzooie at LDV Winery in Scottsdale, Arizona, enjoying a tour or tasting wines. LDV Winery makes their own wine from grapes produced in the foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains. Relax with Petzooie on the shaded patio with a selection of wines and cheeses from Wednesday through Sunday, and then take a quick tour through the on-site gallery, which features artwork by Arizona artists. Only by appointment are tours and wine tastings available. Dogs must be on a leash.
