Quarry Run Dog Park in Portland, Maine, offers seven acres of gated, off-leash play space for dogs and their owners. A smaller gated area is located within the larger fenced area for smaller dogs to play stress-free.

Bird-watching, an ice-skating pond, and undeveloped marsh pathways are all available at this 18-acre wildlife preserve.

The Portland Railroad Company created Riverton Park on June 27, 1896, on thirty acres along the banks of the Presumpscot River at the confluence of Riverside Street and Forest Avenue in Portland.

This waterfront trail, built along an old rail track, provides breathtaking views of the harbor and the ocean. Along the walk and at East End Beach, there are benches and picnic tables.
