Quarry Run Dog Park

Congressman Francis Ormand Jonathan Smith owned the land that became Mayor Baxter Woods Park, which is a nature reserve and municipal forest in the Deering Center neighborhood of Portland, Maine, USA.

The Portland Railroad Company created Riverton Park on June 27, 1896, on thirty acres along the banks of the Presumpscot River at the confluence of Riverside Street and Forest Avenue in Portland.

This waterfront trail, built along an old rail track, provides breathtaking views of the harbor and the ocean. Along the walk and at East End Beach, there are benches and picnic tables.
