Temescal Canyon Park welcomes leashed pets. There is a hiking track in the park that is open from sunrise to sunset.

Will Rogers State Historic Park, which is home to the ranch owned by the famed actor of the 1930s, Will Rogers, allows dogs. The grounds also include guest housing, a stable, corrals, a riding ring, roping arena, polo field, golf course, and riding paths, in addition to the 31-room ranch house. Petzooie is welcome to visit this historic park with you, but they must be kept on a six-foot leash the entire time. Dogs are permitted in the historic zone and the Inspiration loop (but not on house tours). On the Backbone, Temescal, and Rustic Canyon Trails, dogs are not permitted.

Bring Petzooie for a hike between Rustic Canyon and Sullivan Canyon along the Sullivan Ridge Trail. If you want to go all the way to the end and back, this out-and-back journey can be as long as 12.6 miles round trip.

On this 8.5-mile round trip trek, Petzooie will take you through the sycamore-filled Sullivan Canyon.

The Third Street Promenade welcomes pets. This pedestrian mall shopping, dining, and entertainment complex in Santa Monica's downtown district is a great spot for your dog to stretch his legs. It is regarded as the Westside's top shopping and dining center, attracting visitors from all around the Greater Los Angeles area.

The Santa Monica Pier and Boardwalk welcomes pets. This beach resort has a variety of shops and eateries, as well as an amusement park and aquarium. Dogs are permitted on the pier as long as they are restrained, however they are not permitted in businesses or Pacific Park. Puppies are also welcome on the premises. As long as they are leashed, they are allowed on boardwalks but not on the beach.
