Santa Monica Pier and Boardwalk

The Third Street Promenade welcomes pets. This pedestrian mall shopping, dining, and entertainment complex in Santa Monica's downtown district is a great spot for your dog to stretch his legs. It is regarded as the Westside's top shopping and dining center, attracting visitors from all around the Greater Los Angeles area.

Pacific Street Dog Park has an acre of off-leash space with covered seating and drinking stations for both humans and dogs. Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the park is closed for maintenance.

This 1.25-acre enclosed park, which has a separate little dog section, is perfect for licensed Santa Monica pups to play off-leash. Non-residents can get a temporary permit. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., we are closed for maintenance.

Memorial Park Dog Run is a tiny, enclosed dog run on the west side of Memorial Park, north of the tennis courts, where pets are permitted to play off-leash. A temporary permission or a Santa Monica license is necessary. Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the run is closed for maintenance.

Off-leash dogs are welcome at this modest Venice dog park. The park is open from sunrise to sunset every day, but is closed every Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for routine maintenance.

Temescal Canyon Park welcomes leashed pets. There is a hiking track in the park that is open from sunrise to sunset.
