Ward Charcoal Ovens State Historic Park is located 20 miles south of Ely in White Pine County, Nevada, and is designated for historic preservation and public recreation. The beehive-shaped charcoal furnaces built in the latter half of the 19th century are protected by the 700-acre state park.
