Alston Park's enclosed, three-acre dog park was created specifically for off-leash play.

Dogs can also run off-leash on the hill's 30 acres. All pathways in this steep, 157-acre preserve northwest of downtown Napa are dog-friendly.

At this park, dogs are allowed to be off leash as long as they are under voice control. Training is also permitted, although it necessitates the acquisition of a special authorization.

Bring your dog to the authorized off-leash area of this public park, but be cautious because the area is not gated.

Dogs are welcome at St. Clair Brown Winery! In downtown Napa, winemaker Elaine St. Clair's urban vineyard makes small-lot, hand-crafted wines. The Greenhouse Tasting Room is encircled by a heated, pet-friendly patio and lush vegetable gardens. It's the ideal place to unwind with a glass of wine and a couple small meals from the menu. Roasted rosemary almonds, local cheeses, marinated olives, and Model Bakery baguettes are all favorites. Traditional wine sampling flights are $20 and contain Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon tastes.
