Buffalo National River

Buffalo River is a unique undammed river in the United States, running for 137 miles through the Ozark Mountains. At Buffalo National River, pets are welcome, but there are a number of limitations in place to protect park resources, wildlife, and other visitors. With the exception of the Tyler Bend Campground trails (Spring Hollow, Buck Ridge, and Rock Wall in the Middle District) and all three Buffalo Point Campground trails, all park trails are closed to pets (Forest Trail, Overlook Trail, and Campground Trail in the Lower District). On a road trip, this is an excellent area to stop. There's plenty of room for Petzooie to stretch his legs, as well as a few picnic tables where you can enjoy a meal! From mid-March until mid-November, the museum is open.
