This new KOA offers sixty acres of calm southern splendor, where you may fish in three lakes or wander along forested walking pathways in a peaceful bird paradise. Over 800 acres of camping, swimming, boating, fishing, and other activities are available at this state park with lake.

The Hub City Humane Society is dedicated to caring for homeless, neglected, and abused animals with compassion. We were fortunate in obtaining No-Kill designation, making us one of the few No-Kill shelters in Mississippi. We endeavor to provide the best possible care for our community's homeless and abandoned pets.

The Hattiesburg Zoo, as well as tennis courts, playgrounds, and walking trails, are all located inside this 40-acre park.

5. See Spot Run Dog Park

The Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation spearheaded this initiative. The Foundation's mission is to build communities by linking charitable-minded individuals with projects that are important to them.

South Mississippi's premier jogging, biking, hiking, and equestrian route is the Longleaf Trace. It's a lovely 44-mile linear park that runs from Hattiesburg (elevation 220') to Prentiss (336'), passing via Sumrall (290'), Bassfield (460'), and Carson. The trail is 10 feet wide and paved, and it is a Rails-to-Trails conversion.
