The Hub City Humane Society is dedicated to caring for homeless, neglected, and abused animals with compassion. We were fortunate in obtaining No-Kill designation, making us one of the few No-Kill shelters in Mississippi. We endeavor to provide the best possible care for our community's homeless and abandoned pets.

Longleaf Trace Jackson Road Station

South Mississippi's premier jogging, biking, hiking, and equestrian route is the Longleaf Trace. It's a lovely 44-mile linear park that runs from Hattiesburg (elevation 220') to Prentiss (336'), passing via Sumrall (290'), Bassfield (460'), and Carson. The trail is 10 feet wide and paved, and it is a Rails-to-Trails conversion.
