Dog Park Locations

Bring Petzooie for a hike between Rustic Canyon and Sullivan Canyon along the Sullivan Ridge Trail. If you want to go all the way to the end and back, this out-and-back journey can be as long as 12.6 miles round trip.

Dogs are welcome at Echo Park Lake! On the walkways around the lake in this East Los Angeles park, leashed dogs are welcome. The park is open from sunrise to dusk every day.

A 0.5-acre small dog area and a 1-acre large dog area with separate double-gated entries are available at the Crescenta Valley Dog Park. Each area is totally gated, with huge amounts of decomposed granite surfacing and cedar chip surfacing beneath and around the older trees. A dog wash is located outside the entrance gates, as well as drinking fountains for both humans and pets, benches in both areas, some with shade structures, and security lighting.

Hollyridge Trail is one of many routes in Griffith Park that lead to the famous Hollywood sign. Hike this 3.5-mile trek to the peak of Mount Lee with your favorite animal buddy for stunning views of the sign and the city below.

You and your leashed pet can trek the Griffith Observatory Loop from Griffith Park to get even closer to the renowned Hollywood sign than Lake Hollywood Park. This climb is popular with visitors and locals alike because it offers spectacular views of the Hollywood sign and the LA Basin. Bronson Canyon in Griffith Park is a 6.5-mile, 3-hour hike. Because the dog-friendly walk is primarily along fire roads that aren't well-marked, it's a good idea to study a map ahead of time.

Pershing Square, in the center of Downtown Los Angeles, hosts a range of community activities and is also a popular filming location for television series and movies. At this hidden treasure of a public park with a water pool and fountain, leashed pets are welcome to join you.

On this 6.5-mile track, you may hike with your dog to the Hollywood sign. This walk passes through Griffith Park and ascends Mount Lee, offering spectacular views of the iconic sign and the city below.

Many of the outdoor areas of the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum are dog-friendly. Visitors can learn about Los Angeles between 11,000 and 40,000 years ago, when saber-toothed cats and mammoths roamed the Los Angeles Basin during the last Ice Age.

Dogs are welcome in Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area in Los Angeles, California. Petzooie is welcome to accompany you on the park's five kilometers of paths. In addition to native coastal sage scrub habitat, the recreation area features grass and groomed areas, picnic sites, playgrounds, a fishing lake, and a lotus pond. Dogs are allowed in County parks and on trails as long as they are on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet long and under the owner's complete supervision.
