Two dog parks can be found on Paul Boorman Trail. One is next to the parking lot and has a small and huge part. If you keep walking on the route, you'll come across another area for dogs to play that is shaded by several trees. Dog owners are encouraged to pick up after their pets while they play in the gated areas. The parks are open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day of the week.

Meadowbrook Dog Park

Kilgore City Park

Thousands of people displaced by a deepening national depression turned this land into a makeshift tent city after the discovery of oil here in the 1930s.
