11. Rocky Valley Trail

Pinnacle Mountain State Park's Rocky Valley Trail is dog-friendly! Green blazes indicate the trail's location. It's a two-mile loop that winds through an old rock quarry before entering a densely forested valley. The hike down and back up the valley should take about two hours for dog owners. The trail is rated as somewhat challenging. Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout their visit to the Park.

On the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center, leashed dogs are welcome to accompany their owners. Simply keep Petzooie on a leash and clean up after him at all times.

Bring Petzooie to Bark Bar and let him run about in the off-leash section. Arkansas' first indoor/outdoor dog play area and bar is Bark Bar. Grab a drink while your dog is playing, whether it's a cup of coffee, a local brew, or a unique cocktail. Treat your dog to a Spaniel Sundae, a dish of Mini Carrots, or a Dog's Dog, all washed down with a Doggie Ale. There is also a tiny assortment of human food available. To visit the premises, all pets must have a one-day pass, a monthly membership, or an annual membership. Before obtaining a pass, dog owners should carefully study the Bark Bar's list of rules and regulations.

Within McArthur Area, there is a fenced dog park called McArthur Bark Park. The dog park is located on a two-acre tract in MacArthur Park's southeast corner (across from Bowen Law School) and features over sixty parking spaces with LED lights. A five-foot chain-link perimeter fence, "double-gate" entrances with large regulations signage, a separate area for small dogs (under 30 pounds), pet waste disposal stations, and watering stations are also included.

The River Market District, located along the downtown riverfront, is the place to be and be seen in Little Rock. Visitors to the region can explore charming and eccentric stores, dine in one of many excellent restaurants, and shop at the Farmer's Market (held every Tuesday and Saturday from May through October). Dogs are welcome to accompany their owners on the district's open-air streets and at select outdoor dining establishments. Petzooie must be kept on a leash at all times, and owners must clean up after him.

Pinnacle Mountain State Park is a day-use park that offers a range of outdoor activities on the Big and Little Maumelle Rivers, in the Arkansas Arboretum, and on over 15 miles of trails, including 7 miles of tough mountain biking routes. Simply keep Petzooie leashed at all times.

Paws Park at Murray Park is an off-leash dog park with separate areas for dogs over 30 pounds and dogs under 30 pounds. This is a fantastic place for you and your dog to have fun. There are tubs for your dog to swim in, chairs to sit on, tennis balls, tables to sit at, and other miscellaneous items for your dog to enjoy. The park is nearly entirely shaded.
