Railroad Grade Trail

The Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area, located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, is a great area to get away from it all with Fido. This recreation area offers camping, fishing, picnics, boating, and wildlife viewing. All you have to do is keep your dog on a leash at all times.

Show Low City Park's Deuce of Dogs Bark Park has a dog park with a separate tiny dog section and a fountain. Please make sure to clean up after your dog.

A dog park can be found at Rim Liquor Chevron in Payson. Fresh draft beer, growlers, espresso, and fast food are available at this full-service chevron gas station, carwash, and drive-thru liquor store, which also has an off-leash area for your dog. Owners of dogs are reminded to tidy up after their pets. Rim Liquor Chevron is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week.

Rumsey Park is a municipal park including an 82-acre dog park. A pool, 5 baseball/softball fields, 2 multi-purpose fields, 6 pickleball courts, 3 tennis courts, 2 sand volleyball courts, 2 basketball courts, 2 playgrounds, skate park, horse shoe pits, and 6 ramadas are also available at the park.

Payson Farmers Market is a traditional market with about 40 stalls of fresh produce, free range beef and sausages, breads, pastries, chocolate and fudge, jams and jellies, coffee and teas, flowers, sauces, pastas, oils, spices, a wide range of ready-to-eat or frozen take-home food, CBD oils, lotions, herbs, massage, and one or two local artists. Everything is farmed or made within a 100-mile radius of Payson, and you may buy it directly from the producers or growers. WIC, SNAP/EBT, and Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program customers are also accepted. Pets must be kept on a leash.

At Homolovi State Park, you and Petzooie will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover more about the Hopi. This state park, which is now a study center for archaeologists, has trails, museums, picnic spots, campsites, picturesque pullouts, and more. Simply keep Petzooie on a leash while in the park. Dogs are not allowed inside any structures.
