Dog Park at Desert Vista Park

The Off-Leash Recreational Facility, or Dog Park, at Desert Vista Park is one of the town's most popular attractions. The Dog Park is a 3-acre enclosed facility where dog owners can let their canines run around freely. Dogs must be properly licensed and vaccinated. The Dog Park is divided into two separate fenced areas, one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs. The huge / active dog area can be accessed via Tower Drive or Desert Vista entrances. Tower Drive is the only way to get to the small / passive dog area.

Marcus Landslide Trail

Take your dog to Marcus Landslide Trail for an easy stroll with expansive views of the Sonoran Valley. This is Arizona's second largest landslide, resulting in spectacular rock formations, many of which are designated by educational signage describing their geological significance. With only a 300 foot elevation rise, the path is just under four miles long, including an optional.7 mile loop. Come in the spring to see the blooming wildflowers. Because there is no shade and no water at the trailhead, bring lots of water for yourself and Petzooie. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Tom's Thumb Trailhead

Hike to Tom's Thumb in Scottsdale, Arizona, with your dog. There are paths for people of all ability levels, although the most demanding are intermediate to severe. The first mile of the trek, according to most hikers, is the most tough, and the walkways can be a little slick. You may observe a variety of species while trekking, but keep an eye out for rattlesnakes! Try to arrive early in the morning to avoid the crowds and intense desert heat. There is parking and facilities at the trailhead, but no water, so bring lots of drink for yourself and Petzooie. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Scottsdale Ranch Park and Tennis Center

You may take Petzooie for a walk through The Desert Garden at Scottsdale Ranch Park, which also has tennis courts. The garden was created to help people learn more about the Sonoran Desert, botanical processes, and the geology and soils of the adjacent McDowell Mountains. You can also reserve one of the picnic ramadas or simply swing by if one is available for a bite to eat. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and are not permitted on the tennis courts.
