Desoto State Park

Little River Canyon National Preserve offers a wide range of outdoor recreational opportunities to tourists. This relatively new national park offers hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, rock climbing, and other activities. The park welcomes pets, but Petzooie must be leashed at all times.

Buck's Pocket State Park is a dog-friendly state park near Oak Grove, Alabama. Situated in three counties and tucked away in a natural pocket, Buck's Pocket State Park is one of Alabama's most tranquil spots. The wide views of the park's seemingly unspoiled terrain are well-known. Petzooie is welcome to accompany you to the park as long as he or she remains on a leash. Please note that dogs are not permitted on off-road vehicle paths, horseback riding trails, the maintenance facility, designated grilling sites, or the bathhouse. Pets must never be left alone.

The cave is kept at a warm 60 degrees all year, making it a perfect field trip for schools, churches, and other groups. The park is 493 acres in size, and there are established hiking trails for individuals who wish to get out and about.
