Lyman Lake State Park near St Johns, Arizona, is a dog-friendly 1,200-acre state park where you and your pet can go hiking, boating, and fishing along the Little Colorado River, which spans over 790 square miles. Just make sure Petzooie is always kept on a leash. Because the park closes for the winter, make sure to check the website for opening dates.

Show Low City Park's Deuce of Dogs Bark Park has a dog park with a separate tiny dog section and a fountain. Please make sure to clean up after your dog.

The Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area, located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, is a great area to get away from it all with Fido. This recreation area offers camping, fishing, picnics, boating, and wildlife viewing. All you have to do is keep your dog on a leash at all times.

Roper Lake State Park in Safford, Arizona, is a dog-friendly state park with five miles of trails and natural hot springs, just to name a few of the activities you and your dog may do there. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed on the beach or in the hot tub area.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Apache Railroad Multi-Use Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Eagar!

Heward Park's Kiwanis Dog Park includes a large green grass area for dogs to play in. Waste stations, shaded picnic pavilions, and benches are also available at the park.
