Coronado Beach & Dog Park

Coronado Cays Park is a six-acre grassy park with a flat surface that is perfect for soccer games and other sports. The park is enormous and more suited to sporting activities than picnics. There aren't many trees in the park. On the southeast end, there is a playground, while on the north end, there is a baseball diamond and tennis courts.

Dogs must be up to date on their licensing and free of contagious diseases. Dogs and humans do not tolerate excessive barking or aggressive behavior.There will be no food or pet treats allowed. There are no restrooms, although there is a foot shower on Ocean Blvd. south of the entrance. At the entrance to the run, the city supplies free dog litter bags.

The Bayshore Bikeway (Silver Strand Bikeway) is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to building a statewide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an underused railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Coronado! Take a stroll or ride your bike beneath the Coronado Bridge to see the red roof of the historic Hotel del Coronado and stop for a snack at a trailside cafe. Dogs must be kept on leashes that are no longer than 6 feet in length, and any pet waste must be collected and disposed of as soon as possible.
