Bodie State Historic Park is a dog-friendly ghost town that was once home to optimistic gold prospectors and is now a reflection of the exciting days of the mid-nineteenth-century Californian Gold Rush. In this state park, Petzooie is welcome to accompany you, but must be kept on a leash at all times. You can take a stroll through the historic structures and reflect on William Bodey, who discovered modest amounts of gold in the hills north of Mono Lake and was named after him. Dogs are not permitted on the Stamp Mill tour or in the Museum, and any mess they make should be cleaned up.The park is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April 1st to October 31st in the summer and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from November 1st to March 31st in the winter.
