Assateague National Seashore

Elm's Beach is a calm beach where you may spend the day with your family and friends having fun in the sea. This wide and long beach has over 500 feet of beachfront.

The Downs Memorial Park Dog Beach, located off the perimeter trail in Downs Memorial Park, is a great area for new canines to learn to swim or experienced canine swimmers to enjoy some time in the water. When you and your dog have had your fill of water fun, take a walk through the park's more than 5 miles of pathways. Downs Park is open from 7:00 a.m. until sundown seven days a week.

Abingdon Road Park, near the Abingdon Water Treatment Plant, has a paved trail, pavilion, benches, and a dog park.

A playground, picnic spots, and outdoor concerts are available at this 7-acre park beside the lake.

A 1.5-acre park for large dogs and a.75-acre park for little dogs are available at our Baltimore Animal Recreation Center (BARC) Park. Dogs can drink from water fountains in both parks.

Seneca Creek State Park is a public recreation area in Montgomery County, Maryland that spans more than 6,300 acres along Seneca Creek's 14-mile journey to the Potomac River. Boating and fishing are available at the park, as well as hiking, cycling, and horseback riding routes.
