The River Market Farmers' Market welcomes pets. Bring your leashed dog along to enjoy the views of Riverfront Park and the Arkansas River from two open-air pavilions. This free to enter market, which is brimming with farm-fresh fruit, locally prepared cottage delicacies, and homemade arts and crafts, is a must-see for anybody visiting Little Rock. Vendors who regularly set up at the market include canine adoption agencies, natural dog treat stands, and more, which is an added bonus for Petzooie. From May to September, the Little Rock Farmers' Market is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources welcomes dogs. They let leashed dogs of all sizes to go about the ancient, but in some cases still operating oil equipment on display outdoors that tells the tale of the 1920s oil boom with their owners. A 112-foot derrick and a central power station capable of pulling up to 15 wells are among the museum's most spectacular exhibits. Smaller dogs are welcome to accompany you inside for a tour of a boomtown replica complete with an old jail and café, as long as they remain in your arms throughout. Inside, there are old trucks and gas pumps along the streets.In the theater, you can see a short film about the beginnings of oil and how to drill for it, as well as exhibits about how to drill for it.

Pets are welcome in Historic Washington State Park. You are welcome to bring Petzooie to the state park's grounds, but they are not permitted inside any of the buildings on site, including the Blacksmith Shop, Weapons Museum, Print Museum, and a number of other 19th-century structures. James Bowie, Sam Houston, and Davy Crockett all famously passed through here on the Southwest Trail. During your stay, keep your pet on a leash.

This 4.4-mile looping track through a forest and by a waterfall allows you to bring Petzooie along. Petit Jean State Park is home to this attraction. On the trail, dogs must be leashed and all messes must be cleaned up after them.

Pets are welcome at Louisiana Purchase State Park. This park marks the spot where the United States and France made the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, when the US paid $15 million for 827,000 square miles of land west of the Mississipi River. You and Petzooie can travel along the elevated boardwalk above the surrounding swamp to the granite monument that marks the beginning of the survey. This park is only open during daylight hours.

The Tanyard Creek Nature Trail, at slightly over two miles, is a great way for you and your dog to get some exercise. The walk includes a waterfall and is suitable for hikers of all abilities. From April through November is the greatest time to use it. The trail is dog-friendly, and there is even a dog watering fountain at the start. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and it's a good idea to bring a plastic bag with you in case your dog feels the need to relieve himself.

Bring your dog along to assist you in the search for a new wheelbarrow, buckets, feed, and other necessities. A dog wash is also available at this location. Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tractor Supply Co. is open.
