The Tanyard Creek Nature Trail, at slightly over two miles, is a great way for you and your dog to get some exercise. The walk includes a waterfall and is suitable for hikers of all abilities. From April through November is the greatest time to use it. The trail is dog-friendly, and there is even a dog watering fountain at the start. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and it's a good idea to bring a plastic bag with you in case your dog feels the need to relieve himself.
